Designed by Dutch Industrial Designer, Jelte van Geest, the Take a Seat Chair, also dubbed the Follow me chair, is activated RFID technology. By swiping a card over a sensor the robotic chair is activated to follow you round the library! Conveneience all the way for the library patron, no?!
Designed for the Openbare Bibliotheek Endhoven Library Design project in 2008, it certainly is the ultimate in library luxury. Unfortunately though, it seems that this is only a ‘design concept’ rather than the real thing. If anyone were to purse production though, it certainly would find at least one buyer ….. or maybe two, if we include you!
