The bubbly and effervescent personality of Lisa Forrest pours through every word of this very well written story of the trials and tribulations of a 14 year old Year 9 student who competes and wins a place in the Commonwealth Games Selection Trials and then, 2 years later, goes on to be selected for the Australian Olympics Swimming team.  Both the characters and the pace of the novel are real, giving us a rare insight into the rigours of competitive training.  A gripping read by Lisa Forrest.  Impossible to put down!
