My Brother Jack 2015The 2015 My Brother Jack Awards is now open to people who live, work or study in the City of Glen Eira (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia). There are prizes for short stories and poetry in the categories of Primary School, Junior Secondary School, Senior Secondary School and Open.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the of the My Brother Jack Awards and the Centenary of the Gallipoli landing, any short story or poem set in or around World War One will be eligible for a special prize of $1,000*.

With great prizes to be won, get writing and enter this competition before the closing date of April 27th.

The My Brother Jack Literary Awards is an annual writing competion open to anyone living, working or studying* in the City of Glen Eira.  Prizes for a range of writing competitions will be awarded in each of four categories:

  • Primary – Prep to Year 6
  • Junior Secondary – Year 7 – 9
  • Senior Secondary – Year 10 – 12
  • Open

*Studying includes anyone undertaking workshops as part of the Glen Eira Storytelling Festival which runs from 11-26 August 2011.

Entries, which must be submitted online, will open on August 11, 2011 and close on September 16, 2011.  Further details of the various categories of this competion and the prizes to be awarded can be found on the My Brother Jack Literary Awards page of the City of Glen Eira website.
