How irresistibly cute is this site!   If you love words – English words – you’ll be captivated by this charming site developed by Oxford English Dictionary.  As an attempt to save words that are fading from use readers are encouraged, as explained in the ‘Adopt a word’ tab, to adopt a word to save it from extinction:

Just run your mouse over the words on this site to hear words pleading with you to select them!  Select from any of the tabs to adopt a word, spread the word or receive an email word of the day.  It’s hard to resist engaging with this site!
